Canvas Thee Thoughts : Adrift Beyond Parallel

“You can’t lock me in here forever Reem. I can’t take this anymore..Reem! I’m your father for God’s sake..” yelled Ariel. I had my chilling glare upon him as I stood outside of the experiment room, which he and his friends Aaron and Maxim had build beforehand. My heart has indeed turns blizzard just the thought of him.

“Oh daddy, do appreciate my kindness.. I’m not torturing you, I’m healing you..” I utters coldly. And upon that note. I released the fumes enclosing the entire room which he was lock in. Ariel begins to cough in such a frantic and chocking motion. He fell on his knees with both his hands clasping his neck, in desperation grasping for air.

“Reem..” he cried in despair. 

I remained unmoved by his pleadings. However my tears begins to break.

“I’ve lost everyone that’s so close and dear to me…” I cried.

“Reem..please forgive me..” pleads Ariel as he crawls on all limbs to get himself closer to the glass panel.

“Reem..” mutters a voice. “It’s time to let go....”

“We fall into his lair.. we were all taken in by his flair words of hope and dream. I was such a fool..” state Orion solemnly.

“Why do we all need to be the victims for all the terrible deeds which both our father did?” I exclaimed. “Five years had passed but my scars is still hurting that were left to bleed…”

Remembering that rancorous tragedy back that, is just like a whirl of cyclone raging in my head. Ezra survive, but what is left is just his form not his spirit. He’s forgotten everything, his past, his love ones, throughout those five years had passes all he could ever remember is him being a botanists.

To my disgust, Orion survived that battle. He was in deep coma due to severe drug potion overdose. The urge of me wanting to end his life was extremely tenacious. And I know, with just a dose of this rancid drug which I would infuse inside his vein will finally put to an end to his ‘suffering’.

However, just before I was about to jab in the drug, suddenly he begins to stir and moan. “Father..I’m not taking this anymore..” his face squirm and frown in so much fear and pain.

“I’m ending your suffering .. so just hush now..” I said chillingly.

“Who the hell are you?” He asked looking so tense and disoriented. “Where am I?”

“Screw you..” I snarled as I hurled towards him with the needle in my hand.

Orion was swift and strong enough to avoid my attack, as he caught both of my hands and in a swift he had pulled me closer to his bed and pushed me on top of it, pinning himself against me.

“Let go of me you bastard..” I yelled.

“I don’t know who you are lady.. and if I ever hurt you ..please forgive me..” he mutters and slowly he released his grasp and help me up.

“What do you remember then?” I asked grimly.

“He said, he knew where my father is?” Replied Orion.

“Maxim your father?” I asked.

“Yes.. do you know where he is?” Replied Orion enthusiastically.

I stared at him sorrowfully as I felt sorry for him, for I knew, he too has been drugged just like Habil and Ezra, fall victim by Ariel’s lies and deceitful intentions.

“Maxim is dead, few years back in this lab due to his own flaws of concoction which he brew himself. Didn’t Ariel mention to you about that?” I answered coldly.

“Ariel..” he cried with a grimace look of pain mark on his face. “I remember him..he told me lots of things about my father..he promised he will bring me to meet my father. However on that day, after I took that coffee which he made, suddenly I felt like I’m not being myself.. I felt I’ve lost control of my thoughts ..I’m not remembering anything…” mutters Orion tearfully.

“Have I hurt someone? Or worst have I taken someone’s life?” He cried.

“What is done can’t be undone.. we fall to be their victims.. as time goes by, you will recall back what you’ve did..” I said. As I was about to leave the room he lightly tugged my hand and had his eyes looking intensely towards me.

“I’ve no one.. I’m helpless now..” he utters.

“Do I have a choice..?” I mutters.

“Reem..”cried Ariel in desperation.

“That’s should be enough Reem..” marks Orion.

“I’m wiping out his memories..that’s the best I can do..for all I want is for him to taste his own medicine..and it’s for his own good. Therefore when he comes round, he will come clean without any tinge of guilt ridden memoirs canvassing upon his thoughts.” I mutters grimly.

Orion amble closer towards me as he place his hand upon my shoulder and held on to it intensely.

“Don’t fall in becoming like him Reem..” he said solemnly. “Don’t let the souls of your love ones to bleed seeing you like this..”

“Habil..” I sighed to myself.

“Ezra survive that’s hope.. you survive you are his hope…” state Orion. “Stop clinging to those that had passed..”

“He survived, he’s in presence but yet so distant..” I said solemnly.

“Probably your fear he senses?” Replied Orion.

I looked at him soberly.

“I guess having you around does seems to glimmer that noun hope back in my soul…” I said. “You really reminds me of Habil.. it seems that his spirit been reincarnated back in you. I know I sound crazy…” I said with depth thoughts about Orion. My perspectives upon him change after slowly knowing and taking in his traits. He seems to be someone gifted with intelligence yet humble. The anger and hatred which I used to felt for him begins to be thinning away, in each and passing day throughout those years of our acquaintance. I’ve stopped blaming him for all that has been done, for he too fall in becoming the victim of Ariel terrifying and brutal drug and the tank treatment which Ezra was place into. Orion lost his true self for he was reborn to be a barbaric and cruel form. 

During both Orion and Ezra rehabilitation, I had managed to gather Habil’s and Aaron’s crews in helping me to bring both their senses and memories back.

Using the full antidote which we manage to cultivate from Habil’s formula and concoction, Orion had showed so much significant progress. I was surprised by his gentle compose mannerism and his gifted knowledge. However for Ezra, despite all the efforts and trials, nothing seems could bring himself back. Ezra lost in his own world, not wanting to speak to anyone and refuse  any close encounter with anyone. And this has ultimately breaks my heart.

“Since those formulas, potions and what so ever cocktails doesn’t work anymore, why not we could immerse ourselves  in his world..” suggested Orion.

I looked at him with an earnest sign of hope.

“It’s just a suggestion..” he marks with a smile.
